Orono, MN Kitchen1.2A prior remodel to this Orono kitchen created a long narrow space with insufficient width for an island. Kitchen 1.3A built-in buffet provides understated elegance while visually shortening the room’s length. Kitchen 1.4Design challenges in the existing kitchen included plumbing and heating obstructions hidden in cabinets and soffits. Kitchen 1.5Custom cherry cabinetry with a two-part top molding and decorative corbels flanking the wood hood conceal plumbing lines for an upstairs bathroom that had to stay. Kitchen 1.6The existing drop-in range posed a safety hazard in a walk area. Kitchen 1.7The new space was designed to provide better definition of work zones. Kitchen 1.8And to provide convenient storage at the point of use. Kitchen 1.9Space was “found” to locate the refrigerator across from the sink and dual fuel range by removing the seldom used desk. |
